    Sunset Cruise  

    After your day of fun in the sun, get lost in the magic of sunset as Wild Hearts sails into the Gulf of Mexico. 

    Dolphins & Blue Angels Sail 

    Elite fighter pilots practice in our own backyard! You and your family will have exciting stories to tell after watching the daring maneuvers from a unique vantage point aboard Wild Hearts. This all-day adventure (breakfast and lunch included) will have you looking up for the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels while keeping an eye on the water for dolphins at play. 

    Kayak Adventure Snorkel Sail 

    It’s the best of both worlds. After skimming across the deep blue sea, Wild Hearts anchors at Robinson Island for fun with kayaks, paddleboards and snorkels.

    Our area is a premier destination for snorkeling, so when you join one of our snorkeling sails you will come across a variety of colorful sea creatures that are native to our coast. Read below to find out what you may see on this aquatic adventure.

    Blue crab: While there are more than sixty varieties of crab in the Gulf Coast waters, the blue crab is Alabama’s top choice because they are delicious to eat! The meat is soft, sweet and juicy all the way down to the claws.

    Stingray: Dozens of species of rays are found in the Gulf of Mexico, but the most commonly encountered are the cownose ray, southern stingray and Atlantic stingray. Though stingrays defend from predators by striking with a poison stinger fixed to the tail, they are mostly peaceful creatures that typically only attack when stepped on or harassed.

    Gulf fish: Flounder, redfish, speckled trout, snapper and so many more . . . the species of fish you may spot is almost endless.

    Sea turtles: In our waters, you are likely to spot loggerheads, Kemp’s ridleys, and green sea turtles. The loggerhead is the most recognizable and the largest, sometimes weighing in at up to 500 pounds!

    When you’re looking for something a little more relaxing, watch the sun disappear below the horizon during our Sunset Cruise! This two-hour trip is the perfect opportunity to reflect on summer and prepare for the school year ahead. Our sunset cruise can be a relaxing, whole-family event or a romantic date night.

    Life jackets and bottled water are provided for all of our guests at no charge, and soft drinks are available for purchase. Adults are welcome to bring small ice chests with their own beverages to enjoy responsibly, as well.

    It’s that time of year: The kids are back in school, the weather is cooling off, and the beach is calling your name! Fall is the perfect time of year to plan a girls’ getaway for so many reasons; with the main reason being you deserve it! Grab your girls and leave the planning to us. Here is an ideal fall beach itinerary:

    1. Book A Place To Stay
    There are so many great properties to choose from but one of our favorites is Perdido Beach Resort. This resort is right on the beach with premiere amenities such as indoor/outdoor pool, fine dining, fitness center, beach volleyball, and live entertainment poolside! Not to mention its right across the street from Sail Wild Hearts!

    2. Choose Your Restaurants
    If you’re looking to keep it casual, The Gulf is a great choice. Enjoy a cocktail, seasonal menu items, relax under some palm trees, and watch the sunset right over the water! If you’re looking for something more upscale, we recommend Fishers at Orange Beach Marina. Fisher’s Upstairs is what fine dining dreams are made of. Sit along linen drapes, incredible light fixtures and comfortable tables to enjoy a truly remarkable meal.

    3. Book Your Excursion
    You can’t plan an Orange Beach girls weekend without including one (or two) of our sailing adventures! Explore the gulf with our Snorkel and Sail Tour – a two-hour excursion with a guided snorkel session at Alabama Point! Or just take in the views with our Sunset Cruise.     It’s hard to believe, but spring break will be here before you know it! Students will be itching to get out and be adventurous, while parents will be looking for fun, but also a little downtime. How do you get the best of both worlds without breaking the bank? A Wild Hearts sail of course!

    If your group likes the excitement of experiencing wildlife up close, the Snorkel & Sail Tour is a good option. Sail to Alabama Point jetty and immerse yourself in a snorkeling adventure as you swim among native marine animals. Guided by a PADI-certified dive master, you’ll experience amazing sights that will have your family in awe.

    If some in your group are less keen to jump into the water, no problem. Enjoy the sail to Alabama Point, and relax on the sand or on the catamaran.

    For those looking for a little more adventure, the Kayak Adventure Snorkel Sail has it all. Jump in a kayak and weave around Robinson Island, or hop on a paddleboard and see how far your balance can take you. Snorkel off the island and find various creatures lurking near the shoreline. There’s also always the option to simply soak in the sun and enjoy the sights and sounds from your beach towel.

    Sailing into 2017 with a Look Back at 2016

    What a year! 2016 was one for the books. We’ve enjoyed a year of sun and sailing, meeting new friends and setting sail with old ones, too. It’s always a pleasure to reconnect with past guests, as well as introduce new ones to sailing for the first time.

    So, what exactly did we do in 2016? A lot! Our owner, Ted, is always looking for something fun and exciting to add to our itineraries, and 2016 didn’t disappoint. This year, we took sailing Alabama’s beaches to a whole new level with more adventure sails, including the Snorkel and Sail Tour where Captain Zack drops anchor for an hour of snorkeling and swimming Orange Beach’s clear, turquoise waters. The Perdido Key Scuba and Snorkeling Sail took our guests on a short sail to Perdido Key Snorkel Reef where there are 24 structures uniquely constructed to support an abundance of marine life. Our guests were treated to breakfast and lunch on the five-hour trip.

    While it wasn’t new in 2016, hundreds of our guests set sail for kayaking, paddleboarding and snorkeling on the Kayak Adventure Snorkel Sail. Guests from the young to the young-at-heart took advantage of Wild Heart’s full staircase that drops from the boat into the water. The staircase is a unique feature to Wild Hearts, allowing our guests easier boat access from the water than a ladder would.
